Qi talks with our teachers

Here below we gathered some common answers to questions we hear in our class:

Asking about Qigong, and what it truly is? Well in New York and probably the USA in large many people are not familiar with the Chi Gong practice or healing system.

Many people know about Tai Chi which is considered just like a brother or sister of the Qi Gong, both are practices and systems for the cultivation of your own life energy (Qi) to achieve harmony in body, mind, and spirit.

Here is what I tell all my students who are serious about the path:

The Essence of Practice

Consistency over intensity It is vastly better to start and practice with a knowledgeable teacher in class where we can guide you through and help you understand the flow and some of the energetic stages, then together we build in class the foundations as we learn the fundamentals of this amazing system and wisdom.

Then once you have the basic understanding you can add a home practice of these forms you learned in class and practice for 10 or 15 minutes 5 days a week to deepen your understanding of this ancient and amazing practice of energy cultivation, balance and flow.

Mind, heart and body, we typically start with meditation to get in the room and in contact with our current conditions in our body, Then we go into the movement guided by the breath, imagination and the form we work through our mind thoughts and patterns to work our way down into the energetic flow Ying and Yang or the flow of Qi energy in our body.

There are many ways and many methods to go through and get to the same place, in Qi gong we try to connect the movement of our physical body, legs, hands, spine, head and all, leading through the 6 gates physical in our body through our joints - wrists, ankles, elbows, knees, shoulders to connect to the space and time available in the blood and the life in the light the Qi.

Well our goal as teachers and members of the Qi Center and studio of Qigong, Tai Chi, Meditation community at 26 West 8th Street NYC is to bring the awarenece about this practice to the people around us so you can try it our and check in your body to decide if you want to explore deeper and wider.

we offer firs class FREE as an intro to join and practice qigong in Qi class:

Fun acts and answers to common questions,

“Qigong is designed for all ages and all body types. You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or experienced. Your first class is simply about exploring gentle movements and breathing at your own pace.”

“Most people are surprised by how easy it is to follow. You’ll learn slow, flowing movements that feel calming right away—almost like your body is sighing in relief.”

Depending on your need and personality Qigong support:

For Stress relief: “Qigong is one of the fastest ways I know to settle the mind and relax the nervous system.”

For energy: “It helps you feel awake and refreshed without strain.”

For physical ease: “It gently build strength from within and loosens tight areas and supports natural alignment.”

Your need to preform:

“There’s no ‘right’ way to do it. You can sit, stand, or modify any movement. I demonstrate everything slowly, and you follow along as much or as little as you want.”

“You’re welcome to just come try one class. Consider it an hour of peaceful movement and breathing—nothing to prepare and nothing to prove.”

Our teachers share their knowledge as you share your presence:

“I’d be happy to guide you through it. My goal is to create a calm, friendly space where you feel supported from the moment you arrive.”

Finally, there is lots to say and explain and discuss, However Qi Gong and Tai Chi are energetic, balancing physical practices that requires practice to understand and feel the benefits,

So we would love to see you in class.

With the Love of Qi
