Celebrating our 1 year of Qi at the Qi Center NYC 26 West 8th Street

We started the month workshops on Saturday November 8th with our visiting master teachers from Philadelphia PA

RORY & MEREDITH HILTBRAND

Qi GONG LECTURE: The Essentials of the Perfect Numbers: Daoist Numerology for Alchemy and Personal Insight, Unlock the source code of reality with this seminar on Dong Han Daoist Numerological understandings.

This lecture revealed some insights to how the Daoist perspective on the universe is grounded in mathematical processes that repeat across different scales, offering a fresh way of understanding life’s patterns. By connecting these ancient teachings with modern science, it shows how the same principles of symmetry, balance, and transformation that guide nature also shape our physical, mental, and emotional lives. Whether you are a novice or simply curious about Daoism, this class provided a clear and approachable introduction to these timeless concepts, offering new insights into how the world functions and how we can live in harmony with it.

We started with about 1 hour of Daoist theory in lecture including drawings on the white board and answers to many questions which went on for an hour and a half and then for the closing and integration of words into actions a half hour of chanting meditation.

What a treat thanks to RORY & MEREDITH HILTBRAND

Saturday November 15th - we offered our monthly master Class with Master teacher Chris Chen, L.Ac.

Fall offering we moved our energy and experienced the Somatic Healing Integration Practice

This was a 3 hour workshop, specifically designed to restore your body, and relax your mind.

Starting with a 90 minutes Qigong or Chi Gong set designed to invigorate our body and connect you to our breathing power, we went through the Do Hah qigong basics such as the Watermill and the Horse Stand forms, holding strong for minutes at a time shaking and pushing our Qi fire up from the ground, legs through the stomach, spine to the heart and head, heavenly gate.

Afterward, we set our mats and blankets provided by the Qi studio in star shape circles and settle into a deeply restorative Acupuncture assisted guided meditation Yoga Shivasana for a full hour of deep somatic integration. This unique combination supports the release of stress, the harmonization of your energy, and the restoration of body and mind. As in all Chi Gong no experience needed, all 18 participants have been leaving feeling refreshed, balanced, and deeply nourished.

November 23rd - Sunday afternoon

Then this past Sunday we had Abi Calderon Holotropic Breathwork Journey, offering designed to awaken your body’s innate intelligence and harmonize your energy.

This workshop began with a relaxing breathwork and meditation practice to calm the mind and prepare the body for deeper states of awareness.

Then Abi gently guided us all through a transformative sonic and Holotropic breathwork journey, using rhythm, sound, and the power of the breath to release tension, move stagnant energy, and restore balance.

Journey through the heaven, the body and the mystery of the unknown when released into the breath, we conclude with a closing meditation and integration practice to help us all ground and embody the experience of the workshop and enable us to take the benefits and apply these into or daily life practice.

All these goodies and through the month our own regular classes offering daily Qigong, Tai Chi, Sound meditation, Breathing meditation and lots of community building fun events

Looking forward for the winter of Qi at the Qi Center NYC 26 West 8th Street
