TALYA COUSINS
VISITING TEACHER
I’m a Mind-Body facilitator. I guide private sessions and group workshops utilizing Mind-Body therapeutic modalities including — Somatic Imagery, Journey-Process, Interactive Guided Imagery, Meditation and Breath-Work. I’m also a student and instructor of QiGong and Xiang Fa (Daoist applied imagery).
I am grateful for the teachers and tools I’ve met along the way, and the privilege of supporting adults and children on their path of connecting more deeply with who they are.
I currently live with my husband Joey, and daughter Billie in Evanston, Illinois, and offer both in-person and zoom appointments.
I love QiGong and I’m excited to join the community of the beautiful Qi Center.

PRACTICE WITH TALYA
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
-
The goal of our practice is to pull us out of the complexities of life and into the simplicity of the present moment. To cultivate a maximized vitality — QiGong state, in which our body, mind and spirit are in the flow and functioning with the least inner physical, mental or emotional restraint.
We will focus on deep relaxation through self-regulation of the nervous system — especially Vagal Tone.
Our class will include four essential Qi cultivation methods:
Postural alignment and gentle movement
Breath Practice
Self-applied massage
Visualization
During the last part of the workshop — we will be taking a seated guided imagery journey inward that is designed to re-awaken a resource that may be of personal use to you at this moment on your path — the medicine within.
Everything can be done seated or standing. Come as you are!
